Zoella is a YouTube Vlogger. She's about 28 years old and is from the UK. She's been vlogging for over 9 years. She is well known throughout different social accounts with 12m+ subscribers on YouTube, 11m+ Instagram followers, 2.5m+ Facebook likes. Zoella also has her own merchandise with her own beauty product that was established in 2013 and her own book that was also published called "Girl Online". Going back to Zoella's past, she was an extra in the first harry potter film and was seen again as an extra in the 2nd harry potter film in London. Zoella won 2 teen choice awards, in 2014 for the best 'web star: fashion and beauty' and won again for the same title in 2015.
Zoella symbolises how creative use of technology can create a new generation of online celebrities. she is also a good case study in how celebrities can participate in online dialogues with their audiences and collaborate with YouTube content providers. This is not like films or TV shows since Zoella can communicate with her audience and they can talk to her back by using the comment section for example.

I think Zoella's audience is young teenage girls due to the fact that her videos are based on fashion beauty and lifestyle which stereo typically appeal to young teenage girls. After research on what zoella's target audience is, I found that most people disagree with me because of this, "Obviously most of my viewers are adults’ etc etc. As well as this most of her content has a few swear words and often a lot of very adult humor, so I just can’t believe she is targeting herself at tweens, and for someone who doesn’t drink much there’s a lot of focus on alcohol." adding to this, the kids won't be able to buy her merchandise but older viewers will be able to buy her merchandise. Therefore, her target audience is from around 11 year old to 15, which is senior school kind of years.

With collaborations with other YouTube her views rise at the time and her subscribers substantially rise too making her more money. Also now that vlogging is more popular, the vlogging community has merged with other media's like the newspaper and talk shows which helps with their recognition and will supposedly increase their revenue.

The promotion in pink is the same colour as the store which the products are sold in, this links in with its house-style.. The background is white which shows simplicity and cleanliness, this also makes the colours stand out. The recognizable main image of Zoella relates well with Zoella's persona, also her pose is very specific to her. Also the product advertised is a cleanser and a body wash and this links back with the colour of her top, which connotates freshness and cleanliness.
The logo of her product is in a hexagon rather than a circle, this could have been used to show her being unique as her messages is to be always unique and this links back with the hexagon shape. Also the logo is in the same font as all her products it is the houstyle of her business. This makes it recognizable that it is Zoella's product, it is also a specific theme that attracts a very niche audience of a quite young female audience.
