CSP: Tatler Magazine-
Tatler is a British magazine published by Condé Nast Publications focusing on fashion and lifestyle, as well as coverage of high society and politics.
Tatler magazines are aimed at women that are interested in fashion. It's aimed at higher end of people with the social demographics of middle and upper middle class. Also, the psychometrics that this would mostly be aimed at is the "aspirer' since they were high end brands and are most of the time aspired by celebrities and assuming that the lady on the front cover is a known model this will attract them more. It is also aimed at quite posh people as the colour palette is vibrant. This magazines is therefore aimed at a very niche audience. .
The young pretty women on the front of the magazine cover is shown as a princess according to Propp's theory as her looks shows this and the way she is presented with all they make up and jewelry she is seen as a price rather than a hero for example as she isn't really putting forward a message. The magazine uses, uses and gratification theory- social interaction since if someone reads it and likes it they will recommend it to someone else and talk about it and maybe compare it to other magazines.
The cost wasn't easy to find on the internet and seemed to be not as widely available, this could support the idea that it is aimed at higher end people and therefore aren't selled at supermarkets. But after research we found that the price of a Tatler magazine is £4.30 at WHSmiths as well as this the magazine is released monthly, because it is is more expensive people wouldn't be able to afford to buy it every week so therefore it is released every month.. Also, i found out that it isn't exported to places like Dubai which seems like they are missing a place in the market since Dubai is well known for the society being very high end. The magazine is mostly sold in the UK and isn't exported to many other places. It is global although it is produced in the UK.
The main image looks more expensive as the women on the magazine cover is seen as a princess according to Props's theory. Her makeup is very Cavant grade and grabs your attention when you first look at it, it implies that it isomer expensive as the make up isn't an everyday make up look. Also the background is blurred so the attention is diverted towards the model. Her clothing also blends in with the background as it isn't the focus of the magazine, and the princess isn't specifically bout what she wears but what her face looks like and that is what is viewed. The psychometrics that would be attracted to this would be the aspirer as they would want to be like the model buy buying the same product by trying to achieve the same look.
The cover lines on the magazine are short and brief, this is to keep the audience intrigued and want to read more about it. The most important cover lines are placed on the left side of the magazine this is because when magazines are stacked you can only see the left side. The cover line that says, "Most invited" talks about status and supports the fact that the magazine will talk about status. The other cover line that talks about "millennial" emphasizes the target audience of late 20's or early 30's. One of the cover lines also state her name as she is the main prize/ princess of the magazine.
The mast head is bright pink contrasting with the background as it is the opposite ends of the color wheel. This connotes feminism, being bold, desire and maybe wealth. The font of the magazine isn't house style and instead it is very tall and this which could be used in relation to catwalk models as they are tall and slim. Also, the font looks very mature and posh which helps with attracting the target audience as it is very sophisticated and posh which links with the audience as they are higher class.

Magazine cover and Double page spread analysis
My magazine was a high end magazine aimed at slightly younger female adults, The model I chose for this project is Yasmina, we went to the beach as it was my original idea to have a natural blue background, so we went to the beach and got different dresses and accessories, all different colors. For the make up we went simple and had a very neutral make up look, this makes sure it fits in with the beach, because it wouldn't make sense to wear a full face of make up on the breach. We tried different angles and shots with different dresses, the white and the multi-colour one were my favorite as they contrast but also somewhat blend so they still fit in. I decided to put the multi coloured dress image of a midget at the front as it is more eye-catching and quite vibrant, also would could contrast well with the mast head and also all the cover lines. I stuck with a colour theme: orange, blue, white and black. These colors also really fit in with being summer colors which fits in with the theme. of the magazine, as it is the 'summer edition' event date is set to b out in June, because it would fit in with the people's interests during that time period.

CSP: Reveal Magazine
Reveal Magazine Analysis
Reveal is a weekly magazine which is produced for women. It regularly features the most up-to-date news about the most outrageous celebrity stories at the moment as well as dramatic real life stories from readers. It's aimed at the social demographics of c and d, so working class, or skilled working class. It's is released weekly and costs 99p. Because it is cheaper people can afford to buy it more often and that's why it is published weekly.
The name of the magazine is 'Reveal' this could be used to hence the idea of the magazine being about gossip this also links in with a lower demographics, it's less posh and talks about dramatic information about celebrities which doesn''t target higher demographics since they are focused on being like the celebrity and the products they buy but in this magazine it just gossips about them. There are different fonts used on the front cover although the font of the name 'Reveal' I couldn't find on the internet, so I went on word and recreated and found out that it's very similar to the 2 fonts 'arial' and 'Arial MT rounded' and a mixture of both would create the font they used, this again links in with how the production is quite cheap. The rest of the fonts are just a mixture of other fonts, this makes the page look quite messy and for my personal opinion it has too much writing for a front cover.
