Logan Opening scene Analysis-
I chose the movie Logan which is a 15+ movie and has been rated a 8.1/10
In Logan's opening scene the first thing you see is Logan in a car, you first see an extreme close up and then the camera moves to a close up then a mid shot where you can see his head up to his torso and also the seat of the car he was in. The next shot is another close up but of his shoes showing that he went out the car. His feet then move in different ways to show that he is unstable, this information is given to us straight away implying that he is hurt and old which was also shown in the car from his facial expression. The shot stays at his feet while he limbers over to the guys which are seen to be destroying his car or taking spare parts of his car. While Logan is approaching them one of them says "hey" and that's when you hear the Spanish music playing in the background. The shot then changes so you can see Logan and the guys in the background but Logan looking like he is at a higher state because he's standing up while they are all on the floor and the camera being closer to Logan makes him appear bigger. When Logan speaks and the guys take notice they all immediately stand up making them both look like they have the same status, in this shot the camera is showing the back of Logan but it's not very clear since the focus in on the guys reacting to Logan being there. He starts talking but the camera stays fairly the same with only the slight movements and then it changes to a close up of Logan while he speaks. While the conversation the 'Spanish' music is still playing. The guys then move closer to Logan and the camera making this seem more powerful, the shot then quickly changes to an establishing shot while one of the guys shoots him. The establishing doesn't clearly show tell us which country or city it's in but it does tell us that it's in the middle street because of the big billboards lining the road and the buildings in the distance. The shot changes to a close-up of the guys that shot Logan to show the audience the reaction of the people of them shooting him which looked pleased that they 'killed' him. while the men say something in Spanish they turn so we can see their backs and the shot then changes to a medium close-up of Logan lying on the floor while he appears to have multiple shots with blood going through his shirt. It's about 45s into the opening and we already discover a dilemma between Logan and the what seem to be Spanish men, this is usual since most action movies start with a dilemma at the beginning to grab the audiences attention. The medium close up shot then goes closer so it's a close up while Logan twitches his head to get up. The shot then changes and reveals the men and Logan in the background trying to get up slowly obviously weak because he's been shot. This bit shows the audience that don't know that Logan is a wolverine that he is by standing up and not dying from the gun shot. The shot changes to a long shot of Logan while he stands up and the guys see him. when tells the guys that "they shouldn't have done this " he fists his hands up and his metal claws come out of his hand and then the camera is turned back to the guys and the in a close up of Logan's face and his claws from his hands being fisted up being in the camera shot.

Doctor Strange Timeline-
By April 2000, Columbia dropped Doctor Strange , which then had Micheal France attached to write a script and interest from Chuck Russell and Stephan Norrington to direct. By June 2001, Dimension Films bought the film rights and had Goyer back as as a writer and a director. August 2001, Miramax bought the film rights from Dimension and then by March 2002 Goyer dropped out. A 2005 release date was announced the next March. In April 2005, Paramount pictures bought Doctor Strange from Miramax, as part of Marvel to attempt to produce their own film independently. The film then was projected to have a budget of $165 million and not any more.
In March Marvel got help and hired writers to help with creative ways to launch Doctor Strange. In 2010, Marvel hired Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer to write Doctor Strange. While attempting to promote Transformers: Dark of the moon in April 2011, Patrick Dempsey tried to persuade them for him to play the title character. By January 2013, Marvel Marvel studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that Doctor Strange would appear as part of 'Phase 3' of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In May, Feige said that the movie was in development at Marvel Studios and then announced this again in November. By March, Marvel was considering Andrews Levine and Scott Derrickson to direct the film.
Derrickson and Marvel had originally discussed him writing the film alongside his Sinister co-writer C. Robert Cargill, with Derrickson also directing, but Marvel felt that they would not be able to reach their intended release date of July 2016 if Derrickson filled both roles. During the early development process, Marvel, Derrickson, and Spaihts all envisioned Benedict Cumberbatch playing the title role.

- Kathmandu, Nepal - Derrickson chose Nepal as a location to feature an "Eastern city" that would not be familiar to most audiences. After scouting and deciding on locations in the country, many of those areas were destroyed by the April 2015 Nepal earthquake. Rather than choosing another country, Derrickson and Cumberbatch felt that bringing attention and tourism to Nepal following the event "was all the more reason to shoot there". Cumberbatch said that shooting in Nepal was "absolutely vital to this film, I think not least because it’s so based in something that is exotic. It was a magical way to start the shoot. It’s important to a film like this—which has a profound gearshift into a spiritual and otherworldly dimension—that the portal for that be in a place that actually happens in itself to be incredibly spiritual and marvelous." The eventual filming locations around the Kathmandu Valley
- London, England- Production moved to Longcross Studios in the UK on November 11, and was scheduled to stay there until March 2016.The real Kathmandu street that led into the fictional Kamar-Taj courtyard was replicated at Longcross, which production designer Charles Wood described as "very hard because Kathmandu is a most beautiful city and it’s steeped in history. To transition from that level of detail and history, with the shape of the streets, the warping of the buildings, these ancient bricks and these ancient tiles, was a real challenge." For authenticity, the set was dressed with real food, and populated with dogs, pigeons, and Nepalese extras, many of whom were relatives of people who live on the real Kathmandu street. The inside of Kamar-Taj was also constructed at Longcross, with "sculptors creating beautiful columns and wall decorations and craftsmen building screens and doors to evoke the exotic feel of the ancient sanctuary".

I, Daniel Blake analysis.
This film was based on the reality of everyday lives in Britain during 2011-2014. During this period, the British security system was flawed, as more than 80 people were dying per month after being declared 'fit for work' through incorrect health assessments.
The social security was meant to support those who struggled with: low pay, high housing costs insecure work, and longer working lives. However, in 2011 the social security system cut benefits (financial assistance) for the disabled and the sick from low-income households. By cutting benefits, around 7,200 people who were trying to claim health/ disabled benefits died as the government had judged that they were ready to prepare to get back to work. This movie is set during this time and is based on the struggles that low-income British people went through while seeking health benefits. The main actor ' Daniel Blake' had a heart attack, and when seeking for benefits, the doctor declared him fit for work, despite his condition. The movie then shows his struggle of trying to find a job and paying off bills.
Funding and MarketingThis film was partly funded by the European Commission as it was made as a UK and French co-production.It was also funded by the BBC cooperation. Despite this, it is , generally , a low-budgeted film. The film has been funded differently compared to those that are mainstream; done by public service broadcasting. The amount of money used to produce this film may be less important to the film makers as this would go with the social realist theme, to show the importance of the message that they are trying to put across to the audience. It also engages with those in the audience who may not have a high income as it shows the realities of their lifestyle without too much flattery and effects.
One way the film was marketed was by use of posters. The posters contain reviews from multiple from large multiple newspaper companies and ratings that they've given the film. This helped with the publicity of the film as , articles were written about the film and the high ratings makes the audience feel like it is something worth watching.
